Training Courses for Pediatricians and Neonatologists
On December 7-8 and 14-15 of this year, the Armenian Association of Neonatal Medicine organized a two-day training for pediatricians and neonatologists. The topic of the training course was Continuous Care of Newborns and Most Frequently Occurring Conditions in Neonatal Age. Participating in the training were doctors from both Yerevan and regional (marz-level) medical institutions, specifically from Yerevan polyclinics No. 12 and 17, Grigor Narekatsi and Sari-tagh polyclinics, as well as from Vedi’s maternity hospital and polyclinic and from Armavir polyclinic and medical center.
Neonatologist Mari Darakchyan and pediatrician Marine Arustamyan presented peculiarities of full-term and premature newborn care, rickets and hypervitaminosis caused by vitamin D deficiency and spoke about most frequently occurring skin diseases and transient conditions and peculiarities of jaundice management in neonatal and breastfed age children.
In January of 2019, similar courses will be organized for specialists of the republic’s other medical institutions.
